wake me up when september ends

September 1st, 2010

September is my favorite month of the year. good things always seemingly happen to me in september

6 years ago this saturday Jason & I went on our first date

5 Years ago today I met Tim @ Mcdonalds

all kindsa fun things were associated with september when i was away at school. football games. rush week. things start cooling down…ahh. I just freaking love it :) and it makes me miss those fun times …and those mountains.. ahh.

today time has REALLY managed to get away from me…I don’t even know. I was planning to straighten my hair but it has tried with curls so tight, that I probably wont have the patience to even deal with it.

I just realized my period is a little bit later than i thought. i thought i had it the week after jason was here in july(around the 28th it would have been) turns out I was having my period right around when my granny died. (july 6th or so) so…might have to wave a pregnancy test at myself to get me to start. (seriously i cannot tell you how many times i have thought i was pregnant, taken a pregnancy test and started bleeding within a few hours!)

I have a T-mobile Mytouch 3g slide, which uses peep as its primary client for twitter. as of yesterday at about noon, I have stopped recieving any tweets. I have restarted/refreshed,etc …is anyone else having this problem? I don’t really care for peep anyways, but thought i’d ask. I started using tweetcaster again, and it seems to be working fine. I also had tried Twicca and never could get it to work!

I have a few reviews to get up today! or at least this week. I was trying to get one a day done till I caught up, and got behind  a little bit…

well. david should be here in a few. i’m gonna try my hardest to get by and comment you all today/tomorrow! I have got to stop being so lazy bones!

August 30th, 2010

The cold I have has good staying power! I swear I thought this evil thing was on it’s way out and BAM here we go again! BLAH!!

Friday was pretty boring, went over to mom’s and priced some yardsale things! nothing too exciting ….

Saturday went and had a yardsale at my moms neighborhood. seriously unless i am hard up for cash this is the last time i have a yardsale there during the neighborhood yardsale! too much competition, and people won’t even barely come down the driveway and look! I made about 33 bucks…meh!

Yesterday slept pretty late, went to eat at ryans, and went to walmart. came home and napped.. and thats about it!!

seriously when a cold finds me and decides to stick around i might as well not even get out of the bed!

right now i’m getting ready to go straighten up what I can and make some dinner. it is some mashed potatoe chicken biscuit thing in a box and I don’t really want it lol…but thats what we have sooo!

hope to comment & visit with you all later this evening while writing some reviews!!

also i have two nice prizes lined up for exquisite when we open back up :)

Blue Venus Vibrator: Out Of This World!!

August 29th, 2010

This is a review of a sex toy. If you are under 18 years of age/it would offend you to read such a review please do not read this review!

I recently got the opportunity to review the Blue Venus Vibrator from Good Vibrations Sex Toys

This vibrator was one of the most unique looking ones that I have added to my collection so far! It kind of looks out of this world! (and the vibrations are sure to make you feel that way!) It is also a pretty blue color, and it feels velvety smooth!

bluevibeIt has a lot going on for it!  It is waterproof and it is a clit stimulating vibrator. Personally, I have a lot of problems getting satisfaction unless I have that kind of stimulation, so that is something that is important to me when i’m hunting for a toy! The waterproof aspect is also nice because every now and again it is nice to take a nice relaxing bath and have some extra fun!

The Blue Venus Vibrator can be used to stimulate your clit in two different ways. There is a pointy end that you can use, and there is also a oval shaped area that you can kind of nestle yourself into! It is easy to control with a dial base at the bottom. You just twist it for it to come on, and then just keep twisting it to increase the vibrations!

It uses 2 AA batteries, and they are easy to insert. I can’t tell you how many times I have ended up with a toy that has no indications of how to install batteries. This one you just take out the removable piece  of plastic and it is pretty easy to figure out from there. There is also a diagram that comes in the box.

The only one thing with this vibe that I worried about, was that after using it for an extended bit of time, it did get a little warm to the touch! It wasn’t a big deal, it didn’t bother me, but it might be something you might want to keep in mind.

Overall this was a great toy, and I have had a lot of fun using it! I look forward to exploring it further in the future. I think the price of this vibe at 20 bucks makes it well worth checking out. I do not think that you would be disappointed!!

If I didn’t know for sure I was going to get one package in the mail, i’d be back in the bed! This cold is a wicked little devil. It comes …it goes. It is seriously toying with me. Much like T-mobile. It keeps flashing 3g ..HA! I wish…

I am having another yardsale at moms on saturday. her whole neighborhood is having one..(well not EVERYONE but you know what I mean) Her & Dad won’t be home, so it will just be me & david. he will be whining by 11. but it will be ok. any little bit of money i can hord up helps lol.

I have been trying to no end to get my latest review for eden fantasys up. I joined the mentor program so i could get some help, and i’m glad I did! The rough draft I sent in was really..rough! I totally tweaked it, and there are still errors, and i’m kinda like UGH …this is the longest it has ever taken me to get up a review!! But I will work on it some later on and hopefully it will be done by tonight!

David got tickets to a panthers/titans pre game thing on saturday night…it is at 8 pm. He is kinda mad I don’t want to go, but then he kinda already knew I wouldnt want to go! I think he will take his bro, and then i’ll just be stuck at home alone :( (ok well with sammy lol)

Sam is in WILD mood today. he has been all over the place since about 4 a.m. I didn’t go to bed till like 1230. I didn’t sleep well at all. ugh!!

I am TRYING TRYING TRYING to see if I can generate an interest to bring back exquisite message board!! if anyone is interested in helping just let me know!!

ok i’m out..got my package and thinking bout a nap!!i’ll be around to comment too :)

My Secret Circle

August 24th, 2010

pkg2When I was young, We didn’t own a computer! I can’t even remember anyone we knew that had one! Back then of course the internet, email, etc was just getting started. (I think I was in 4th or 5th grade when email first came about)And, for the record I was in 10th grade when we finally got a computer and internet!

I was always fascinated by technology. I can remember going in the store and looking at all the things in the electronics aisle in the toy section. I am talking about those little things like giga pets and even more so the my secret diaries/secret senders! I still have my Sabrina The Teenage Witch Secret Diary. I also used to have the secret sender. They always had the most cool little things on them like games, and diaries and such!

I recently got the opportunity to review a product called My Secret Circle, which has taken this concept into the social networking generation! I received the B.F.F pack which included two drives!

My Secret Circle is a USB Drive (in keychain form)that is geared towards tween girls (and ok, i am going on record here i’m 26 and my cousin that helped me check this out is 19. we think rather fondly of it as well lol). It was orignaly released at Justice, and coming this month they will be available at target!

The concept of the My Secret Circle is to protect young girls from the hazzards of being on a public social networking site. They are protected because the keychain features its own browsers and unique id codes. When you print out a code to connect with your friend, that code can never be used again. It also prevents them from browsing outside of My Secret circle and going onto other websites when the drive is inserted in the computer.

I am not a parent yet, but let me tell you I know I would be concerned to let my child be out there on the internet! However, I wouldn’t want to have to hinder them, and not let them interact with their friends online. This product is perfect for that!

This little drive is like having your own journal/blog (think livejournal or wordpress)which can be shared with your friends, or kept private. You also get your own instant messanger (think aim/msn) and Photo sharing (think something like flickr) but it is all exclusive and only for the people that they know in real life! Also there are many different games to play. I am serious when I say what else could you want? :) Also, they are now selling headsets separately to make it to where you can VOICE CHAT! it’s like having skype!

I also think this can appeal to people that are much older, such as myself. it is really cute to be able to go totally private and interact with only people you know, no matter what your age. I know on facebook, myspace, etc you can tweak your settings, but with these you can REALLY be in control! Also, they are cute as pie on your keychain!

I think that anyone who has young kids who are curious about the computer, and want to interact with their friends should check it out! Everything is fairly simple to do, and really fun :)

The My Secret Circle B.F.F. Pack, which includes 2 access keys, will retail for under 20 bucks! It will be sold at Target. Here is a link to the page

August 23rd, 2010

Hey there everyone!! I am fighting off some evil cold…apparently that might be while i was so weak last week!
That and an Kidney Infection whoa I am a LUCKY GIRL lol :)

I am trying to make the best of it and enjoy some time just laying on the couch and watching tv! I know you probably think I do that quite offten, but usually i’m running around cleaning and fiddling with something another!!

The weekend was pretty dull… Saturday we went over to david’s moms (she just happened to get an apartment right at the apt. place right beside where his dad just had to leave a week latter!) I was pretty bored and we didn’t stay too awlful long! We actually brought his brother back with us (le sigh) and played some on the wii (Golf & Bowling) I ended up going to bed early, because I had been awake since like 4 a/m (forgot to take my valerian root friday night)

Yesterday I went over to my parents, and didn’t really do a whole lot. I felt too blah. Mom & I played alot of rummy though ha ha. I am so good at that game!

I am planning to join in the neighborhood yardsale tihs weekend over there. My parents won’t be home so that sucks, because david will be whining by like 11 lol. Money is money though. I just have to try to get over to moms and clean out some of my things over there

ok this was boring post. i know lol. I need to go nap a little, make dinner and finish up a few things!

The Glamour Of Grammar

August 20th, 2010

As I’ve mentioned before I’m a total book freak!!
Something, you might not know about me, unless you have snooped around a bit on my site, is that I majored in not only Elementary Education, but I pulled a double major as an English major! I am actually a grammar freak!
Like I say, you can’t tell that by my site. I do what I do, and try to keep it neat, but hey, it’s my blog for goodness sake! I have wrote so many papers and stuff over the years, I try to give myself a break when I can.
(I also like root words/pre fixes and suffixes and trying to decode the meanings of big word!)

Ahum. Anyways, I got the chance to review The Glamour of Grammar: A guide to the magic and mystery of practical english by Roy Peter Clark (that is a link to the publishers page).

The book was really easy to read and quite fascinating! There were all kinds of helpful tips and advice. At the end of each chapter there is a keepsakes section, which include sometimes things to do,(there was one about picking your favorite letter and making a profile about it) and also things that you can take away from that chapter!

One thing that really struck me the most was that there was a page about sentence diagramming! I don’t know if any of you all have ever had to do that or not? I had to do them in college for my grammar class, and I couldn’t do it to save my life. I think I was out when they went over it in class, and noone even understood it anyways!

I really couldn’t find any information even online to help me with doing it.I couldn’t even find it in any of my English books.

I actually had to call one of my aunts who was friends with an English teacher, and she did them for me! (she had her reasons, she basically said they were outdated, and that it was really difficult thing to explain to someone)

It was really nice to learn the history of it, and see it mentioned in a book somewhere! I can’t believe that these were popular up till the 70’s and kids did this stuff in elementary school.

If you like english, grammar, etc I would defiantly advise you to check out this book! I think that you could find some interesting information. I really hope to take a few things away from it, and try some of the things in the keepsakes sections!

Here is the description of the book from the publisher

Early in the history of English, the words “grammar” and “glamour” meant the same thing: the power to charm. Roy Peter Clark, author of Writing Tools, aims to put the glamour back in grammar with this fun, engaging alternative to stuffy instructionals. In this practical guide, readers will learn everything from the different parts of speech to why effective writers prefer concrete nouns and active verbs. THE GLAMOUR OF GRAMMAR gives readers all the tools they need to”live inside the language”–to take advantage of grammar to perfect their use of English, to instill meaning, and to charm through their writing.

waiting for the mail & pics included!

August 20th, 2010

hello my bebes!!
right now i’m sitting here ready to pounce joyce, my mail lady as soon as she pulls in the driveway!! my eden fantasys package arrived at the post office at 6:16 this morning!! These items were items I got with my gift cards & contributor labor day discount of 30%(and i ended up owing a little bit, but it is all good!)

I would have gotten a few things done yesterday (perhaps even updated and such) if david wouldn’t have called me at 11:00 and said he was coming home early. I took a shower/did my hair put on nice clothes and everything so we could go to the store and …sat around till like 1:30 and realized he must have not gotten off (I figured he’d left around 1230 and went to walmart or something)

we ended up going to walmart and we were gonna go to aldis & bilo but i have been having sharp pain in my left side so I decided to just come home. I am hoping it might just be a kidney infection. I just want to say if it was in my right side i’d be in the emergency room, which is saying alot, because I can take pain really well!

So since i’ve felt like crap ever since i got back from the mountains on sunday, the house is falling into a big mess. see everytime i do really good, its followed by a period where i can’t get anything done lol. meh. thats the way it goes I suppose!

I am proud of this however
twitter10000tweets

I wanted to add it to flickr but since everyone on gods green earth goes there in my family I don’t feel like anyone finding me and reading my stuff especially since i’m public! i’d go back private but ….there was some sort of follower issue sooo…plus then they might find my site and read all my sex toy reviews lol. :) I do have a cousin who knows I do it, which she’s 19 and she’s never told a word of anything i’ve ever told her as a “secret” to anyone so i’m not worried!

Speaking of my cousin(Amber) she sent me this as a text the other night(she works for a survey taking place ..they don’t like to be called telemarketers because they don’t sell anything ) and this showed up on her screen!
Can't Make This Up!

she said thankfully, ding dong wasn’t home lol.

well i’m out for now. don’t know what the world i might get into today. probably get at least one review up today!! i’ll catch you all after while…

csn stores review!

August 18th, 2010

A few weeks back I got the opportunity to write a review for csn stores! you might remember me posting that the review would be upcoming! Anyways, My item wasn’t scheduled to be here till this week, but they upgraded my shipping and it came the day before I left to go to my grandma’s!

After wondering around the site (actually, sites, because they are a network of over 200!) for a considerable amount of time, I decided to type in “Appalachian State” which is where I went to college. You know the good old days? lol

There were several items that popped up, and I was really happy to find an appalachian state fan mat!
I quickly decided that is what I wanted, and anxiously awaited it’s arrival!

When it arrived with it’s upgraded shipping, via fedex I greeted the fedex guy at the door! I just love when companys provide you with tracking information! It came packaged in a “bag” of sorts. I tore into it and was happy at what was staring back at me.

product review item from csn store

I like that this rug is fuzzy, and it doesn’t slide around on the floor. I cannot tell you how many times I have went sliding on a rug. I even got a toenail caught under a rug one time, and developed that toenail fungus mess. (you have saw digger the dermaphaphite on tv no?) So yes, I am a big fan when a rug can stay firmly planted on the floor.

The fuzzy factor is also something that i’m happy with. I like when things feel nice under my feet!

My only debate with this rug has been where to put it! I don’t want to put it outside, because i’m afraid it will get stolen. I don’t want it at the door because I don’t want it to get dirty. It has fluctuated between the bathroom and my kitchen. I think the permanent home will be in the bathroom, because I don’t have any rugs in there, and no real theme! (The kitchen has a rooster them and i have rugs to match). Plus, it seems to dry easily.

So I recommend that you check out csn stores, and type in YOUR choice of college football team and find yourself your own FanMat to love :)
